Dendroica caerulescens.
Lake Umbagog.
1887,
September 15.
In full song.
In the woods by the roadside (on a drive through Upton
over the Swift Cambridge) I heard in the early morning a Dendroica
caerulescens sing as loudly and perfectly as in spring. Later I
also heard a Vireo solitarius singing steadily.
