From 4 to 6 different Birds heard about the Balds, all I am sure singing. I think there were two near Pin Point & I heard two miles at the lower part of First Hill Pond. On the other about as common as in former years, but in full song during our entire stay but falling off a little after June 5,
Vireo solitarius
singing in autumn
I heard a solitary Vireo singing this morning as vigorously as in June. The day was very warm and still.
