25ᵈ 28⁹ 30ᴿ Pinet Point
14ʰᵈ About 100 roosting in white pines & oaks on B. Point. I disturbed them about 100 yards
by running very close to them & flapping to eat coffee (about ½ hour after sunset). At first they circled & resettled making a tremendous clamor (as when meeting an Owl) but a few minutes later they rose all together & flew across the lake. They did not return that evening (at least before it was dark) but the next night I heard them coming in the same flocks. (Cf. journal for fuller details)
