Reithrodon auritus
November 29 - 11 km NNE Nahuel Huapi, Neuquen. Caught one adult in a Sherman
set in bushy steppe (sent to Reig) and two adults in steel traps set in
burrows of Ctenomys sociabilis.
A male, 89 g. testis 14mm, epidid tubules easily visible, sv 30mm. part
of intestine green, stomach contents green. cecum green, 60mm long, not
very full.
A female 102g, vagina closed, nipples long, no milk, rt. uterus 4
fetuses 27mm CR, left uterus 2 fetuses; 2 pale CL in left ovary, 1.5mm
diam; 4 CL in rt ovary. Uterus and contents weigh 25.8g Stomach contents
green.
