Pearson-1989 #32 Akodon olivaceus October 24- Bariloche. Caught two females at Lago Gutierrez. Both were pregnant, bot had small simple ovaries with appropriate numbers of pink corpora lutea to match the number of fetuses. The vaginas were not as wide and tough as longipilis. See pickled ones for comparison with longipilis. Hence, no evidence from the female UG tract that olivaceus is an Abrothrix. When handled on two different occasions, both of these olivaceus squeaked, whereas longipilis does not. One of them had one or more liver cysts. December 9 - Lago Guillermo. 100 traps in cana/nire and lots of tall green grass caught 4 olivaceus. One not saved: M 130 39 22 13.5 11.5g Testis 6mm, white; epidid tubes not visible. SV 2mm.
