Buneomys
November 12- Bariloche. While puttering with the Buneomys manuscript and notes,
I notice that I examined various types in the British Museum. The type of
chinchilloides has "grooves near edge of front incisors", and the type of
mordax has "grooves in center of incisors". Michael's two large specimens
(?mordax) have grooves in center, and his three small individuals have
grooves near the margin. The type of dabbenei, which is probably a synonym
of petersoni, has "grooves near edge". It is a "small" form.
