off at least 15 m, Heard barn only. ③ 9:00. Another adult at the East Brink Pile. The buzzed nervously among the scattered birds, then 15 m out into field to feed, then back to birds. Lost it, probably into hole, at 9:14. Back to car at 9:40. No more seen. 5,5,+ faughts 9:40 to 10:40. Saw 3, shot 1 (all along RR). ④ More NVG at 10:55, at 11:15 found adult (mad. size) at East Brink Pile. Watched him until 11:34, feeding, when he went down hole (marked it with birds). Returned to car 11:50. ⑤ NVG 4:20, at 4:30 located an adult near ±1 in ⑥ juniper. It moved down hole and out again, was approached several times (½ m) by a second owl, at 5:02 I probably scared it down a hole. I think they both entered the same hole at least once. ⑦ Brookston at 5:25 saw one (adult) at south side of Brink Pit but lost him promptly. Back to car at 5:47. Harned and ran on fence, then to phone pole along RR. faughts to 6:10. Saw some two along RR. Confirms that they are site-specific. Summary: Found 2 early and late. Probably 7 individuals (minimum) all within 1 hectare area; more travelled more than 25 m while I was watching. April 29 2 animals shot 7.5 for W of Estonia 9 on Raven. Entrance last night:
