Also 6 cogotrofs over Rethro thole in the meadow near the fence. Hunted with NVGA and .22 from 7:30 to 10:40 and 3:35 to 4:35, returned at 9 p.m., Cloudy, deal calm, Ice in water jug, Shot 11 Rattlers. May 14 Morning cloudy, completely calmer. Only mouse caught near Rethro #1 before 8pm in a cogotrof (all loaded with green grass and lactuca dandelions). Back to Barribelo 10:30 a.m.; Drizzle, then rain all day. May 15 Rain all day. Took turf sampler out to INTA where Siffredi identified the 3.6 km pieces as "80% Holcus lanatus" (Pasta rivas or Velvet Grass, imported from England); the rest white clover, all tiny leaves and another grass with rolled leaves. The turf from Wearful's meadow (2 km E.P.M) is a mixture (in May 8" sample) of short equal areas of filaree, Rumex acetosella (sheep's sorrel) and grasses such as Holcus lanatus and another narrow-leafed grass; The sample also has one thistle, reptile 50 mm diam., Weighed grasses. See Rattler notes. May 16 Rain almost all day (Barribelo). Two more names for "turf" habitat. One is "Eloradero" which I guess is equivalent of a Sillido seep. The other, invented by Patricia, is "carpeta compacta" or "carpeta conferta
