08.21 Baribole, Discussed mammal field guide with
Michael Christie and Marcelo Cambari. Marcelo has
done color plates for all of the large mammals (rabbit
and squirrel larger); the rats and mice have been done
or are being done by Faccaro!!
08.22 Up Cerro Otto in A.M. and counted leaves. Sunny and
warm, no new shoots. Did some digging near Lomber

Good legibility of marks on leaves.
Adrian Moryjean came at lunch time to discuss his

Left at 11 a.m. and drove to Los Manzanos, arrived
at 6 p.m., then drove about 8 km south and camped

pile of 29 stunned spot caracase 12 km E Corrallo.
Saved 2 big shells and 4 small ones, but they
were so stinky that I cached them for the return
trip. Two other spot caracases about 100 km
further east. Saw a live pole fox vixen in
Cap Rock 10 km E Corrallo. This is where the
DOR Rhos was also. Saw no live rhea or
quaracos, almost no hawks, but at 3 p.m
