Rosa mosqueta
April 18 Tested 4 species of newly caught mice on Rosa
fruits. Put rolled oats, apple, and 4 rosa fruits
into cage with these results:
2 Abodon longi - 3 fruits partially eaten, apple all gone
the seeds of Rosa were nibbled open
1 large Aulacomya - apple still present; 3 fruits completely
nibbled on outside but seeds not reached; seeds not opened.
2 Myadophylistes - apple gone; 3 fruits nibbled, 1 consumed
but seeds not opened.
1 Ad Walthrider - apple nibbled but not remaining; 4 fruits
April 19 as above but including another cage with 2 Oryzomys,
4 fruits in each cage.
2 Oryzomys. apple nibbled, oats mostly gone
dont not completely. 2 fruits nibbled into the
seeds, other two fruits half eaten, seeds affected,
and many seeds extracted and appeared open,
probably ate some of the fruit, but seemed mostly to
go for the seeds.
1 Aulacomya. apple nibbled, still some oats.
at the fruits from the outside into the sphere of
seeds, then left the seed package intact & fruit

2 Abodon longipilis, apple gone, oats gone.
4 fruits untouched.
3 Phyllotis. apple + oats remaining. Nibbled the fruits
slightly but not all the way in to the seeds.
