R.D. Kirkpatrick 1965 Diomedea nigripes Pacific Ocean south of Oahu Jan 25 Two, and later 3, Black-footed Albatrosses began following the ship just after we cleared Pearl Harbor. They flew just about above the water surface and were not observed to feed or set down even though they followed the ship until sundown.
