Sand Island, Johnston Atoll
Dec P.M. I caught an adult on a nest
22 containing a single egg under a bush
at the west end of the causeway. We
banded the bird. The egg had not
been there more than 3 days.
1965 10:30 A.M. Two adults were at the
jar nest under the Scaevola bush (see
6 Dec. 22). We caught one and painted
a green X on its breast and put green on
its head. It carried band #525-12069.
The other bird is also banded.
