of leaf-gall bumps plus a small green caterpillar, Weather Sunny, no wind. Oct. 24 Clear + warm all day. Michael Christie & Adrian Moriyan visited in the afternoon. Michael says very apple winter, with very little snow but plenty of rain at 5:30 drove out to Temo Gorge and collected lots of pellets in both the good crevices, then set traps along the slope between the cliff and the road. I put 42 traps, alternating 11S and Big Sherman, near the cliff, and Anita put 60, alternating across the flats. Setting was delayed by 2 boys who were curious and ended up with them "helping" me set my line. They knew about the rules and depended the corn-seed weasels they made. Finished at dusk and camped back the old gauchos road. Clear, 3/4 moon. Oct 25 Lots of frost during the night. Morning clear, my line traps held 2 Phyto, 1 Eligura, 1 Antho, 1 Longi my snap traps held 1 " anita's line " " 1 " 4 " , 1 " " snap " 4 5 " Total 3 7 10 2 Heard barn owl during the night, no horses out.
