Raththrodan Nov. 13 (cont.). Recaptures. All above trap sites are gulled 10 yds apart. The only recaptures were from L22-a to L22-b by a medium-sized ♂ (= 2½ m), and from L22-b to H24-ll by an adult ♂ (42 yards) Nov. 20 Given choice of grass, Vinea, lawn clover, straw- berry leaves, and dandelion flowers, the captive Rathth chose to eat the base of the dandelion flowers. Nov. 22 The captive, unlike the 2 juveniles last year, has produced very few droppings. No recaptures. Preferred grass to process. Nov. 23 To Estancia San Ramon 4:30 and self assorted hive cage traps and 4 hdb traps for Rathth in grazed grass with clumps of clover, barley, and milk currant (small leaves) x 10, clear 3/4 moon. Went out with Night Vision Goggles at dark (9:30) and saw some picked up an adult Rathth. Followed it for about Then picked up another adult across the grass swamp, quite open with scattered bunchgrass and Sorrels. Followed for about 1½ hrs at a distance of between 6 and 15 ft. It seemed totally unaware with our presence, our rustling, faint red light from flashlight, carpool noise, reptile noise, car on gravel road 50 m away, or distant care. The mouse spent about half the time feeding, but several grooming sessions
