Bamboo (cont.) 91 Oct. 23 - Clump 20 ft uphill south of Clump A1 on Cerro Otto, clump similar to A1 CO-1 9-ft culm, node 21/22 (above tag), ± 32 branchlets with leaves. Marked 121 leaves with Sharpie pen. *Two blooms A1 * CO-2 Other side of same clump, branchlets longer, 9 ft tall, 37 branchlets with leaves, marked 109 leaves, CO-3 Clump across trail from A2 in lenga, mature culm, dark, 12-foot, node 15/16. No culm sheaths, maybe 2-year old. Marked 76 leaves. CO-4 20 ft south of A2 at end of dead log, mature yellow culm, counted node 17/18. 29 branchlets with leaves. Marked 146 leaves # Locol marked scoured new 20ft S. CO-1 A1 121 115 64 CO-2 " 109 108 45 CO-3 across trail A2 76 69 64 CO-4 20ft S A2 146 137 28 In clump A1 was a "new" jiving green shoot about 3 ft. tall. Since only a couple of new shoots only a couple of nodes tall were seen all day, the 3-foot one probably started growing last autumn,
