April 12 - arrived Barlocko 3 P.M. via Beacon Aires. People say the autumn so far has been very cold with much snow/rain and cloudy weather. Stoppes from phone looked completely brown. Temp. today about 10°, sunny no wind, clear clear. The poplars and larch near town just beginning to turn. Michael Christie staffed in.
April 13 - Morning cloudy, -0.5°C, best afternoon sunning. Car running (lottery down) and drove to Gopo Massardi. Some lovely poplars in full color, others not really started. Pera mosqueta with red berries fruit leaves not very yellow.
Delivered Gallopin's computer, but he is in New York. Isabel has heard that there is a lot of blooming boulder somewhere near Catalol
April 14. Morning cloudy. Left early for Pied Ferney - Heavy rain at noon, very windy, then scattered clouds and windy about 3 P.M., 3 squirrel faces on road to Conference. Set 2 Macabees at the two place 10 km NNE Volcan Haugji, saw sign but heard move. Freely dead up - about Aubiacomp in the road near Sa Gipela. Some poplars past, some not ready yet. Never seeds all over the ground. Returned at 6 P.M.; Two of new species dead in trap!
April 15. Rain all day. Drove out to Caux Scape in afternoon and picked up a dozen or so owl pellets and barn owl feather. Also a freshly dead Alcedo atropos and
