the road race to be over), stopped at a red rock outcrop (close to road) and other road outcrops below the road and saw Eurocamp droppings; stopped again at a palo pichi / Collette stand and found more Eurocamp droppings x 2. Ft. ease at 3,690 ft. Rattlesnake droppings there also. Dec 9 Barilocks. Dec 10 Barilocks. At 6 pm drove out to Marful's and then up to the microwave tower on the hill south of San Fragua Canyon, or about 5 km SE of Estacion Panto Moreno. Marful said the hill has no name except maybe "Majón". The top is 4,320 ft. Temperature and wind moderate. Set traps until dark. We trekked en route at the first summit 20 km NE Barilocks and left there 3 cago traps and 6 Sherman at 2 bushes where there were lots of Eurocamp droppings. Anta set 15 Sherman, 6 cago traps, and 10 steel traps and 17 MS. I set 6 cago traps, 12 Sherman, 15 MS, and 11 steel traps. Total = 91 traps, mostly set for Eurocamp, where droppings were abundant but not big concentrations. We set traps until dark, about 9:30, then checked them at 10 to 11 at which time we had 6 Eurocamp, 2 Chelomys, 1 Rattlesnake, and several Longipilis. Another Eurocamp near my bed at exactly 2 a.m.
