Parker 1985 80 Dec. 7 Drv to Marful's Estancia 2 km E Est. Perito Moreno with Anita and Brenner Brewer, mostly overcast and a few sprinkles. I put out 15 cage and hold traps for Rattler; sign abundant. Anita put out 11 steel and 7 cage traps, also for Rattlers. Checked traps at 9:45 p.m. by NVG and flashlights and then observed Rattlers until 1:45, then hunted and observed from 3:45 to dawn when the last Rattler disappeared down a hole at 5:37. Dec. 8, 2 km E Perito Moreno, Night cool, partly clear, morning partly sunny. My traps caught 3 Rattlers on the 10 p.m. check, 1 on the 4 a.m. check, and am also having out in Pampa in a hole trap at 8 a.m., 32 m from fence and "cover". Anita caught 3 Rattlers and 3-5 longs. Once again, saw another species of mice while jacketting. Carancho still nesting. Mapping m morning. At 3 p.m. drove up to the microwave tower on the hilltop about 5 km SE of Estancia Perito Moreno. Windy. Lots of broken rock and open scree plus some tumbled rocks retaining wall holding the 1/2 ha pad on which the microwave tower are placed. Lots of Eunomorphus multinum dropping along these tumbled rocks. The sparse vegetation is Baccharis, menco, Ephedra, Acacia, Sawahare, niger on top, and Anita saw a small mouse among the rocks.
