Little Lake, Calif. July 24, 1933. Caught three Peromyscus this morning. A large & from the camp table who showed signs of suckling young. Part of his tail was missing having caught it several days before. A & Peromyscus caught on the river bank in front of camp. Another Peromyscus was caught in a small steel trap set in the rocks north of camp. The latter two Peromyscus were much smaller and a lighter brown than those previously caught. Shot a pair of Olive-sided Flycatchers from a group of pines on the south end of Little Lake. Between the Little Lake and the Kern River I killed a Black-throated Gray Warbler and a Western Wood Pewee. The Wood Pewees had well developed tarsi but one was very much more elongated than the other. Forgot to mention that there were a number of worms in the abdominal cavity of the & Olive-sided Flycatchers.
