B. Richardson 134 General Account 122 quart 2 Little Kern River, 2 mi from Forke. Tulare Co. California Left camp this morning with a 30 lbs. pack on my back head out the cattle drive to the Whit Meadow feed and thence east to the stull bridge on the Little Kern River. At this point I left the trail and followed the river through the gorge toward the forks of the Big and Little Kern Rivers. From the Smith trail along the Cattle Drive I saw a sets of Bear track where one or more Bear had crossed the trail during the past night. Observed a covey (7) of Quail in the fir forest near the summit 8500 ft alt. The first and only Kernavis Chapman was seen on east facing slope of the little Kern before I reached the stull bridge
