Richardson 34 70 General Account. 17 Hamilton Lake 9300 ft Tulare Co. California. This morning trapping caught consisted of 6 Peromyscus maniculatus and 1 Microtus californicus. Three of these Peromyscus were caught in their traps set under a dead log near camp. We packed up this morning and left the Head of the Big Arroyo headed for Hamilton Lake. We were in the Kaweah Gap at a 11:00 A.M. a distance of about 1½ mil from camp. From the gap there is a steady down hill at a an even grad to the Hamilton lake, a distance of about 3 mi. The trail has been excellently constructed being a part of the High Sierra Trail. It heads down through steeper slopes, around rock faces and is even bridged over a chasm (100ft.). The upper part of the trail was in good condition except for 6 snow banks
