Richardson 34 67 Annual Account m 16 Head of Big Arroyo Sulaur Co, California. 10300 ft. From the 20 traps set about the willow thicket near camp I got 2 Peromyscus maniculatus, 3 Microtus montanus and 1 Sorex obscurus. Our hike today took me during the morning up the trail from Kearsarge Sep 10700 ft and down to the second lake. This little lake at the present time is almost completely frozen over. After our dinner in the camp we continued back down the trail and to the north east into the Nine Lake Basin. Our course was a gradual swinging more and more to the east until we reached the last of the nine lakes at alt. 12000 ft. We saw 9 of the nine lakes. This last lake sets at the north of Black Kearsarge. Returned to camp by 4:00 P.M.
