Richardson. 34 General Account. 35 The early afternoon was spent in skinning and the late afternoon in setting traps. 20 traps were set along the stone bluff east of north of the meadow. These traps were set along the lower edge of the bluff where the brush and taller log against the wall. 10 traps were set in the meadow in moist places under logs. There is a mass of down Log Pole Pine Timber in and about the meadow. The food for this locally is poorer than any we have hit to date. The recent clearing of the timber out of the meadow with the remaining stumps and down logs makes staking of the animals difficult. Staking of the mules is also made more difficult by the numerous little boggy streams that are overgrown with onion plant.
