Little lake, Calif.
July 14, 1933.
Started early this morning for
Conturno, a little store about three
miles up the river, just inside
the Sequoia Park boundary. On the
trail above Big Kern Lake I shot
an Audubon Warbler and a Luticent
Warbler?. On the the return trip
a Hairy Woodpecker and a Red-breasted
Sapsucker were shot from Yellow
Pine.
The remainder of the day was
spent in skinning the birds
and a pair of Bushy-tailed Woodrats
and a Paramaecium. The Woodrats
were caught in a large rock pile.
This damp and unpaving places
had plowed their whorls about.
