Richardson 34 General Account already mentioned and the remainder is sandy with scattering willows along the lake edge and a few in the central portion. It was in these willows that we found the nests of the Kern River Blackbird and the Black-headed Grosbeak. At 11:00 AM we left the lake greenwoods and returned to camp by the trail. In the afternoon I went down the river and crossed the log jam and recrossed the river below and then up along the southwest side of Little Lake Creek, a short distance up and crossed the creek and waded along the south and southwest side of the lake back to camp. This afternoon trip was spent in the search of reptiles and amphibians, all that was found was several Alligator lizards.
