B. Richardson 134 General Account 5 y 21. Little Lake Kern River Tulare Co., California. This morning we got an early start 6:30 and followed down the river through the willow and poplar grove to the log jam. Here we crossed the river and went west down the south side for about 100 yd. This was not really a side of the river but rather an island that was covered with poplar and bush chappell and willow. A short space down the island we recrossed the stream and proceeded up the dry rocky knoll at the south end of the lake. This knoll is moderately forested by Black Oak and Yellow Pine. Near the top of the knoll we hit the trail and spent several hours in this locality
