Ruth, Stephen 1971 Reptile collecting Trip May 14 Glamis dunes Imperial Co, Calif. not in the sun at all. It bit me when I tried to take it off the nose. On our way to Anza-Borrego State Park we made several stops on Hwy 86 between Westmorland and the jct. with Hwy 78. We stopped to check some small areas of sand dunes. Saw several Callisaurus. It was too hot to find those notalga. The dunes also may not have been extensive enough for them. 100 yds E jct Hwy 86 on Hwy 78 Imperial Co, Calif. SBR 9446 1450 Adult ♂ Phrynosoma m'calli found at the base of a sign post in the shadow cast by the post. The sky is clear a gentle breeze is blowing. The lizard squatted down as I approached it.
