S.B. Karh 1970 Journal 8 6 Feb 107 Amphibian Collecting Trip Valencia Lagoon, Hwy 1, Santa Cruz Coz Calif covers the bottom ~~over whi~~ A few tufts of grass stick up through. Shallow water slowly trickles past the road fill. The Hyla don't care and we catch a dozen or so of them. A green plastic covered fence surrounds the area which has been destroyed. Tomorrow there will be a pow wow here in the morning with Cal Fish and Game, The Hwy Depart- ment and several others. Bessie will meet us in the morning to bring down some materials. RCS and I spend the night at a Motel just a little bit North and across the road from the lagoon. The motel was very nice and called Redwood Village
