S.B. Rath. 1970 Journal 2 6 Feb 107 Amphibian Collecting Trip Lost Camp Grady May 170 Tuolumne Co Ca The under side of a leaf and when in that position the light underside of the chin and breast were in an ideal position to throw light up to the underside of the leaf. A bobcat track and a coyote track were seen (very fresh) in wet silt beside a small stream. Along the road many of the Ponderosa pines had dead needles. This was very apparent at the Groveland Ranger Station where there would be fumes from many autos. RCS wonders if they are suffering from smog noting that pines in the L.A area have shown this type of reaction to smog. There did not appear to be limestone in this area but rather granite.
