Thorius sp.
25 km W of Zacachila:
6 Dec Nothing unusual: red-striped or melanistic dorsally;
all but one have very faint light flecking
ventrally - the exceptional animal has a
solid dark venter & most have red spot on
rape - exceptional animal above does not
(is it the second species?)
W of San Vicente Lachixio
10 Dec Presumably two species are represented as
this is a sympatric locality. No obvious character
allowed separation into two groups, though.
However, Tom Hellington noticed that most of
the animals at 13.2 W were noticeably larger
than those at 15.5 km W. Are these just
large gravid F's of only one species or are
the two species differentiable by body size?
