Thomis sp.
~ 16 mi W Zaachila
27 June Six animals . Two sp. at this locality, but
can't readily ID two morphs based on
color . Usual Thomis pattern of reddish dorsal
stripes (one animal w/ chevron markings) and
dark venters and sides w/ faint to light light
flecking . One animal has somewhat reduced
stripes w/ light flecking instead which might
suggest a different sp, but it has a
typical red spot on the nape shared by one
or two of the remaining five with "good"
stripes
2 July 2.1 mi S La Cumbre - T. pulmonaris (?)
- 3 animals, with dorsal stripes of brick red,
dark brown, and light brown color . All stripes
with herring-bone pattern . All animals have
red spot on nape . Body habitus is spindle;
long, skinny tail and trunk . Venter dark
with fine light speckling
29.1 mi N Guellatao - T. sp. "[illegible]"
- 3 animals, all very similar: Broad dorsal
stripe, not very conspicuous because of dark
brown color and herring-bone pattern . Venter
dark w/ slight, very fine light speckling.
Robust habitus
