Dermochelys coriacea
5 August
Green Turtle Station sea level, Tortuguero, Costa Rica
frequently found at different points along the
perimeter of the tub. The "frenzy" was maintained at an almost constant
fast rate for the first few days but by August
14th a decrease in the rate was detected. Today
the hatchling was still swimming constantly, but
at a slower rate. During this time the turtle has
had essentially no nourishment, its only food
being a small piece of given
it by Cluea Carr. All these
observations This account has been made
solely from casual observation of the turtle made
when I've walked past it behind
the station in these last few days.
