Hauken, James 1976 Journal Hotel Mayorga, Fortunde las Flores, Est. Uruacy, Mexico 25 July should be run against the others. Eight Chiropterotriton (cont'd) were also taken in bromeliads, and a Coniophanes-like Making a second stop as of 9 del A they found snake on the ground. Doug, Carlos, and myself, Thorius and 3 Hyla(CS) meanwhile, continued to San Felipe to revisit the localities which Brad and I visited this winter. I again tried to pin Carlos down as to whether we were going where John Wright and Roy McDiarmid had gone, as their directions specifically mention being on the road to lagunas San Bernardino while we leave the main road to " " at San Felipe. It turns that when we turn far left at the junction in San Felipe we are taking the old road to lagunas while the road going straight is a newer road, only 2-3 years old. Presumably when John/Roy were here in 1970 they took the road to the left. This is confirmed by the midges to the localities which are approximately equal for us and them, although the locations differ. This time we had poorer luck than this winter, collecting only 18 Thorius at the 7.4 mi locality and five at the second locality. The only Pseudoeurycea fischerae found was squeezed out of a Thamnophis found by Carlos at the first locality. The forest was definitely drier today than it had
