Hotel Primavera, Oaxaca, Mexico Est. Oaxaca, Mexico 17 July I haven't made a journal entry for several days as essentially all the time since the last entry has been spent driving, collecting specimens, or cataloging specimens, eating, or sleeping. Doug Kalis and I are now in Oaxaca where we have again hooked up with Dave Wake, Jim Lynch, and Martin & Julie Feder. I'll treat each day since the last entry separately: 12 July - Doug and I drove out of Tamayunchale bound for Oaxaca, stopping en route to look unsuccessfully for salamanders at localities within a few km of either end of Surogo. We drove hard but couldn't make it all the way to Oaxaca and camped ~80 mi, NW of Oaxaca along Hwy 190. 13 July - Doug went w/ Dave Wake and Jim Lynch to the Sierra de Cuatro Venados while Martin, Julie and I went to Cerro San Felipe.
