Hauken, James 1976 Journal en route from LA to SF, California, USA 14-18 February agricultural-laden valley near Ceicatlán. The ride from Ceicatlán to Santa Reyes is quite dramatic as one generally ascends to ~3000 m. The area in the vicinity of Santa Reyes is similar to that of Cuajinoyas except that at the crest of the Continental Divide one encounters a congruous pine forest with isolated trees dotting up from a green carpet of grass and berry-like evergreen shrubs. The logging roads are evidently criss-cross the countryside and should provide access to good areas for collecting, including E of the divide. We had only a little time to make a brief foray E of the Divide and found six Thirion under logs along the road. W of the Divide we hit at a locality 8 Am NE of Santa Reyes - the usual pine forest habitat - and one 11 Am NE of Santa Reyes a mostly densely oak-forested slope along a creek. One lone Pseudowyerza was found at the latter locality in addition to Theorina. 16 Feb:
