7 February 8:30 AM Arrived here last night after a long drive
from Catemaco, having left at ~3 PM. Brad
and I had spent most of today catching-up on
cataloguing and preserving specimens from
recent days, including those obtained on the
day before, 5 February, during an excursion
to Volcan San Martin. We followed the advice of
Sr. Refugio SediƱo, administrator of the tropical
biology program headquartered in Sihuapan
just W of Catemaco, and headed towards the S face
of the volcano on a trail N out of San Andres Tuxtla.
