Transcription
bridge over the Celler River. Found only two quite
old pellets, but still lots of bones lying on the
ground. Picked up 4 microcebus, 4 maras, 3
Phyllotis, and some unfamiliar shadown and ? Colony?
Dinner with Christie.
May 3 INTA in morning. Took Elgina MS to San Jose & Javier,
and discussed mouse project with Adrian Moyaean. In
afternoon put 32 MS and 32 Shermanus in the
"Steffe" habitat of the Roe Creek 12am
feed of
town (with Ellen Pedersen). Shot Christie will
pick them up tomorrow. Day mostly cloudy and
cold windy.
May 4 Cloudy, some drizzle, then rain. The traps (32 MS
and 32 Shermanus) held 6 Elgina, 2 Oryz, 5 who?div,
and 1 who ? poritto? plus 1 Eunomyp in the 1 macbee.
5 of the 14 mice were in Shermanus (some of soil). Lots
of spring MS. Silent day shining, then to Hilda's
to req about taking Sambo to Wood's.
May 5 Barlocho. Cold, clear all day. Went down to Cauquena,
Saw Peleto cross the road near Zifoda, about 10
Condors over Tehuel Malal. Picked up about
2 quarts of large pellets at the Tehuel Malal cliff,
mostly under the Nocturn tree at the base of the cliff.
Didn't pick up any loose bones; everything still fur.
Saw a few cold yellow jockeys along the Finay.
May 6 Barlocho. Drew Hilda and Sambo to the Wood's at
La Pascovoda, Bulldoggers and roadcrafts were
