Ctenomys ranci
Oct.30. The mators on Pampa H. nemelor, 5 km SW Barah.
Socked for Rattlros here, cold cloudy. Lots of Rattlros
holes, no droppings. A few places, especially around
route of [illegible] Rosa mosqueta and retama, with trees
droppings, but nowhere any perb specatations, a couple
of places with deep clear runways maybe 6 ft long,
probably made under snow. No earth cores. One
place with a few piles of trees droppings all by
themselves on undisturbed turf (made under snow).
Heard no tucos but caught 2 in the first hour
(7 p.m), no more overnight. One of them a 125-gf
young lies early pregnant. The other a big 8' 72/17,
