thing being very interesting because
the houses roof of all the houses are
deliberately decorated with
carvings along the ridges & at the
corners, like temples- There are
fine iron work pies & lions,
mostly being probably six feet
of all the temples. Alto! there
are not quite as many temples
as usual they are in bad con-
dition, nevertheless they were
by no means all destroyed by the
Mohammedans as we had been
told. We were warned by the
soldiers that some of King Clive's
bengalis were stationed on the
road four temple turned south
in a small arde towards the river.
We have been travelling all day
in small raids most by country &
got very example not a fine
little temple with on right of
the river. No shooting except
Jagernut hares - nothing of much
interest to record.
