Tatchum had no choice and
intended to keep his word & also
Dawid's chief he decided to kill
human Chundle like he was & give
him a dinner first & help him
as he went away. But things went
a little wrong and while they were
drinking tea were riffling. Some
of human Chundle's men outside became
suspicious of a trick & began
shooting! Dawid's chief jumped
up but was shot down behind.
Immediately the guns of
the British's went. His head
was exhibited as a valuable
prize over the gate to the city.
Not long after this the Tatchum
suddenly died - it was said
he had committed suicide by
taking opium. But the real
facts seem true that he was
poisoned by some of two Chinese
men, in revenge for the
death of their leader.
The Tatchum's body was being
brought down from Lan-fu &
came in at 4 O. M.
