Na-nu-gui glared at him, clenched his fist. "I'll get you tomorrow, your old rabbit," he said, and then too: "Don't you care, An-shen-shung." I won't eat -- till we kill him!"
For the next ten minutes the kindly old man kept himself from bringing a smile to my lips. He told me he knew just where that man would go; that anyway, seemed as if he had carried in his head for the other two, that it would be much better to save him for tomorrow. And that I had killed the other two so beautifully that he was proud of me.
He patted me on the shoulder affected and I began to feel better. I continued to feel better when I saw the two dead again. They were both fine young rabbits in perfect condition with beautiful fur, just what we wanted to get. One of them was the female which had walked close to us; there was no doubt of that.
