8 sailed yachts day like gulls floating on a sea of grass. Even into the great Khan's empire was none of it held by force of arms in the ritual of fighting these new peaceful days when the wild riders followed the pursuit of peace. Effect and as the most rigid system makes effect as this had been, the customs of long years had suddenly been lifted and held to grant me a glance a glance behind the customs of 60 years with the privilege of carrying away no recent pictures all that I saw in that drama of mixed life. And for it felt that I was none than a spectator for we have all become identified with the life of the valley and been accepted by its inhabitants, we are animals just as they are. We come in to their summer meadows and pitch our tents more forest as they erected theirs amidst the open meadow beside the river. When the cold winds of approaching winter sweep down the valley they will move with all their flocks & herds and we will seek new hunting grounds. All the little community of our little valley are familiar & us now and each man on woman has a fair of greeting when we pass them. Not all had been contented at meeting another and have received the Krak canes or other adventures
