Ten seems later from a distance, grapiti cows appeared on the hill crest. They were coming fast & struggled toward us. We flattened ourselves in the ground and a minute or two later another rapidi appeared. It was a bull and as the cow glanced at his antlers, there was no doubt that he was a big one. The cows were headed 2 pairs about two hundred yds. above us behind the hill crest. I could easily have reached the summit before them, that them at my mercy as they crossed the bare uplands. But the big bull was also coming to wait us, lower down, and the hunter would not let me move. Again I felt that the bull in the hand was worth two mortal bucks but the jungle whispered "we'll surely get him - wait - wait"!
