It rains! huh--during the night I became so sleepy that I had to get up and rest. Tent & trip to rivers. A single tent such as the boys have is the only thing Off course we put up in a few minutes of pencils anywhere, or for example, I'm not sure what it will stand any how, Our sail tent is a nuisance! We learned that there was no water for our journey for two days, & that afterward to avoid camping and with carts as was necessary to make a long detour so that we should have water within 4 hours of our arrival. The gameless condition of this valley and the fact that it would require 10 or 12 days more before we could reach Lynn Noy, Kahn's place decided no return. On this short map it was not important to waste time in travelling but as every summer for collecting specimens, it was a hard decision to make but was the only thing to do. There people who think collecting is all fun and yet have a few disappointments such as this
