Sat June 7 It was a warm morning but heavy clouds began to gather before we left camp. I caught 3 ant mimics, but no mammals at all. We had a very stiff uphill longgrate as soon as we left camp, & didn't pass the last one till 11a.m. a strong wind blew up about 9a.m. & gusty rain came just at noon, after leaving the hills in rains on a large plain surrounded with rolling ridges by grass covered ridges. Then was a dozen or more yards to a little wooden temple. It was evidently a permanent winter grazing ground. Many sheep & guidcats were scattered over the plain & much mammal sign (red) but no mammals. After supper we struck a long khitche 1/2 and walked out across the plain with the wind. It was difficult going in the strong wind & rain usually made it worse to disagreement that we camped at 11.30, on its plain we saw a hunkal ant mimics & 5 or 6 gray cranes, I also list two giraffe gazelle and saw many sparrows.
