fersent specimens ; I began to count with
the first "bristle" which was more than
1/4" wide x 2" long

A whale lost on this morning, of which
I did not measure had three throat
funnus - the center one fully developed
in human form
Capt. Wilson say that one day he struck
a Blue whale which took out 500 fathoms
of line and towed the ship with engine
at full speed astern, forward for seven
hours at not less than eight knots an
hour.
Finback Capt. Wilson thinks that the Finback
Sport... generally sails at about 10 knots
when "travelling" & retarded but when
frightened as easily capable of 30 knots
an hour, or more perhaps.
Finback He confirms my opinion that "fincks"
Sport sing & about 75 feet or
to maximum. .
