but my many - anterior edge of fin mostly bleached with circular patches + splashes - inferior surface of left pectoral has a large black patch on the third or its length, it cuts the body; this patch does not reach entire edge. Part of fin white with black circular spots + streaks toward tip. The center third of this fin is almost without spot or mark. 8 branches on edge. The right pectoral is almost exactly like the left in coloration on its inferior surface - alone it is black at the 1/2 of the fin toward the tip, white circles begin along its posteriorly, getting starker toward the tips which are covered. 9 branches on anterior edge. very Body of mouth ligeri purple. Baleen - The bristles at the extreme bases of baleen plates are brown - then white in the middle of the baleen row for a space about 1/4 ft. wide, then brown at tips. The abdominal faces gradually enter the white at both basal + tips. The baleen plates, themselves are black streaked with white to greater or less extent - the streaks are always on the side where
