roof of the mouth is then wid- ened. The channel extends in a thin line around tips of jaws meeting joining the two palates round front. On the top of the head there are a double line of knobs running from off near the blowhole emerging along the margin of the nostrums on either side to its tip. These knots are for the most part alternate, also a line of stubs from art joint of blowhole to colour - There are 29 of these knots on top of head - 15 on right side of head + 14 on left. From dorsal fin & flukes the superior edge of peluncle is gently curved with - the edge here is about 1/2 inch thick & rounded. The peluncle is very narrow at insertion of flukes, both laterally & longitudinally - The dorsal fin in this whale is low + of this shape. The fin does not run evenly to its tip as in the other but has more the form of a humps. The symphysia is, like the 1, a
