The scapula, part of the humerus
etc were boiled separately -
The three last caudals were only
fused, forming a triangular bone
which vertebrules showed the
sutures plainly.
First Rib H-os head or neck - much
compressed in its dorsal 1/3- in the proper
mid 7/2 a cross section is oval just
just above the articular surface for
the clavulum the inner edge has a
thin flat plane curved obliquely,
rib is widest at articulation with
coracoid
width distally: 190"
Length straight: 113 mil. "at sternal
artic.: 115" articulation: 160
Sternum - has curved shape -
Length 400 mil. Breadth 400 mil.
First Caudal - has the paired epiphysis for
the clavicle on its posterior upper edge,
there is a cleavage line, which would really
be the 2nd caudal but the caudal
area is it cleavage been prominent,
greater height (post.) = 730 mil. Height body: 550"
" breadth (" ) : 710 " breadth : 380.
Scapula:
Glentoid breadth = 1330 mil. length of coracoid
breadth = 900 " (just tip to lower
Breadth glenoid fossa: 360" depth glenoid fossa) is
3 in mils.
Scapula has a marked depression on its center
where it is very thin - probably an error.
The suprascapular border is convex, i. e. height
near its dorsal edge than in center -
Atlas has a thick transverse process projecting
outward and slightly upward from the lower
bar of the body - the laminae of its arch
forming a large sharp ridge - the two hoofed
foramina above the bar of atlas are distinct,
axis: The axis has a deep & narrow fovea -
the latter is nearer to the former,
two do not join distally - the neural
arch is long & massive.
The 3rd & 4th Cervicals have a dia - few
processes not meeting distally - the lower
process of the 4th is very short -
The 6th has a displacement of its left neck,
a small knob representing the lower
process - this is not present on the
right side.
The 6th & 7th have only an upper process.
All the vertebrae are free and
have the cervixes of the arch quadrates
above - The 6-7th. Have the highest spines
of the series.
