Total length 13.68 Length left lobe flukes apically: 2.45? greatest breadth (ant.-post.) 11/2 below Left side of flukes has base at insertion black - rest of flukes shining white except a narrow black edging on posterior margin and some on anterior. The other lobe is like the left, as far as it is preserved. Blown fluke is black with a small irregular white patch in center along posterior edge. The posterior edge is scalloped with short deep emarginations - these crenulations are longest & shallowest near proximal half of fluke; lateral bay has the scallops short & tips sharp - notch is deep & V shaped like this, posterior edge is 3/4 inch thick. Bristles of baleen have 6 frowns Vanes are dark gray - rest of bristles of ant. 1/2 part white to tips.
